Here is a FAQ that was compiled by CA Team for your benefit, inshaAllah...
Q1) Are the above 2 assignments only for those who have selected Group assignment?
Yes. Shaykh Mohammed will not need to listen to the recording of those who choose the Individual Assignment, as he will listen to their memorisation. He will listen to students read live if they claim to have memorised the hadith. The recording is for those who dont memorise.
Q2) How about the sisters?
It is the same for them. They have the option to read with Shaykh Mohammed or his wife.
Shaykh Mohammed Daniel needs to know that they dont have hundreds of mistakes in reading the Hadith. He cannot give Ijazah to someone who cannot even read the Ahadith. They must assess each other's recording before sending it to him. If they make many mistakes, they will fail the course. Reading the Hadith correctly is very crucial.
Q3) When is Assignment 1 due?
It is due before the upcoming class on Sunday the 14th of September 2014.
Q4) Assignment 3 mentions two options:
a) has three options then b) which is the Power point presentation.
A) Write 3 hadith and include points a, b, and c (see the syllabus) .
B) Do a powerpoint of 10 hadith and 3 bullet point lessons from each hadith and upload to youtube.
Q5) I have a question regarding the Individual assignments regarding memorization of the Hadith: how is this going to be done or carried out? Please let us know since there were no emails sent out regarding this...
As for the memorisation, students can take up to 2 weeks after the course completion which will be the final chance for students to read the Hadith to Shaykh Mohammed. If they require more time, they may wait until the Arbaoon course is offered again in the Spring Term and join that for free.
Q6) Questions on Group Assignments...
A group can not have more than three students and groups will be assigned by the Class Leader.
Q7) I don't understand the assignments. What I understand is that for individual assignments you will have to memorize all 42 or 44 hadiths. I don't know if that will be possible given the short time span of the course...
Every student who signed up to the course is responsible for reading the course outline. It clearly says what is required and numerous reminders were given during class and in email. Nonetheless, students can take upto 2 weeks after the course completion which will be the final chance for students to read the Hadith to Shaykh Mohammed. If they require more time, they may wait until the Arbaoon course is offered again in the Spring Term and join that for free.
Q8) I would like to know what will be the assignments for the group assignment...
The Group Assignment is made up of 3 different assignments, you can read the details about them in the Syllabus outline. Should you have any queries, we invite you to ask here on our forum.
