Yes, very overpriced. I have the second edition, and I must say, it is very poorly edited and formatted, it has inconsistent transliteration, and the binding is sub-par. Perhaps the third edition was improved, but as it is still being self-published by the translator, somehow I doubt it.

With that being said, it does include some helpful commentary, and if one really wanted a translation, there isn't another choice AFAIK.

I was going to say the layout of the book looks nice for nur al idah, its clear the words are not sideways( I Hate that so much). Plus the commentary and seems easy to digest, but yeah there is a reason for editions because they know it needs work, but yeah even risala of Imam ash shafi'i is 45 dollars for like 350 pages, its sad

I believe Sayyidah 'Aisha Bewley is one. Who are the rest that are authentic in their translations?

Atleast we have something rather than nothing, so despite the errors, let us still appreciate it, al-hamdulillah.

Yea I have seen her name on a few Al muwatta of imam malik and others, she is getting more hasanat that she will ever know

I have heard the Hidayah translation is okay.And both together [part 1&2] are for 100$ or 111$ sometimes [when on sale].

Im starting to think there should be more than 2 volumes, cause in arabic i seen a 4 volume set and 10, if you look at the the history book al tabari in english its 800 dollars for soft copy and 1600 for hard, in ARABIC 99 dollars, shameful

Yes, I got my Mukhtasar al-Quduri [arabic] in $20 whereas the english translation is around $60 I believe.
